A good idea that most of the US is in favor of. It's also entertaining.

Food Court Musical

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

A well done Food Court Musical.

Sixteen agents from Improv Everywhere staged a spontaneous musical in the food court of Baldwin Hills shopping mall in Los Angeles. It started out by one agent planted as a worker behind a food counter who just breaks out into song for no apparent reason other than she needs a napkin. The rest were planted as shoppers or eating customers and used wireless microphones tied into the malls PA system.

Watch the video. It really caught the patrons in the food court off balance: the WTF! looks on some faces are near priceless.

Elephant Art

MY father used to say "If a pig flies you don't criticize him for doing so badly." I think the same can be said for Elephants that paint as the picture below shows.

Watching the videos below just blew me away. Some say that this isn't creativity or talent, but something the elephants learn by Rote. I choose to believe otherwise.<

Elephants Painting Flowers

Their work may only be a bit above human stick figure painting. Nevertheless it's probably a little better than I and other artistically challenged humans can do.

Watch this elephant, rescued from abusive treatment in Burma, now paint an amazing self portrait. You'll be amazed at how his talent unfolds.

So touched by their horrific backgrounds and loving personalities, ExoticWorldGifts.com now supports, "Starving Elephant Artisans" by selling their paintings so they can continue to have a new life in Thailand.

Elephant Painting Self Portrait

That should be worth a plug for Exotic World Gifts who sells the elephant paintings.

THE PORTFOLIO BLOG

Of Dreams and Hope

Should that be all that's left

A piece of all we spoke

then take the scent and memory

This fragment of a hope,

and give it back to time and space

Lest it eat away my soul

of all that there has been before

I'll take the pure and clean

And put it in my special place

To keep it as a dream

then when I wake in morning's light

And look about me there

I will remember dreams of hope

So clean and pure and fair

if one has hope, then one has life

Thus life will never die

from earth to sky from dark to light

And beauty for the eye

will be yet seen perhaps in mind

The power to behold

the clean and pure of dreams and hope

Will wash and keep the soul

Even if you own legal DVD copies of the music

Post Source: The Washington Post

RIAA is getting pretty nasty, and may just end up shooting themselves in the foot. In a panic mode they are going after their own customers, instead of finding ways to embrace digital technology in this new age.

Now, in an unusual case in which an Arizona recipient of an RIAA letter has fought back in court rather than write a check to avoid hefty legal fees, the industry is taking its argument against music sharing one step further: In legal documents in its federal case against Jeffrey Howell, a Scottsdale, Ariz., man who kept a collection of about 2,000 music recordings on his personal computer, the industry maintains that it is illegal for someone who has legally purchased a CD to transfer that music into his computer.

The industry's lawyer in the case, Ira Schwartz, argues in a brief filed earlier this month that the MP3 files Howell made on his computer from legally bought CDs are "unauthorized copies" of copyrighted recordings.

What next, one player per DVD? Buy another DVD to play in your car instead of using the one you play in your home?

"Bring Him Home Santa"

These are words from a 6th grade young lady. She is unknown for the writers and family didn't want for her to be exploited. For this song was not to be intended or credited toward any known artist.

During the recording, this young lady broke out in tears a few times..So if this don't make you shed a tear or two, all I can say is WOW!!!......

"Bring Him Home Santa"

Dear Santa, I need to change my Christmas list

There's one big thing I missed

You see my Daddy's working for away from here

And I know Santa, I asked for a Barbie doll

And a brand new soccer ball

But I'd trade it all, for just one gift this year...

Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me

Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree

You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh

Don't make him spend Christmas all alone

Bring him home

And Santa, here's a picture that I drew

Of him in his dress blues

Mama says our country needs him over there

And you know Santa, this whole year I've been good

And I was hopin' that would

Do all you could to answer her prayer...

Bring him home Santa, bring him home to mom and me

Let us wake up Christmas morning, and find him standing by our tree

You can pick him up on your way, he could ride there in your sleigh

Don't make him spend Christmas all alone

Bring him home

Bring him home

Bring him home

Bring him home
